Drum Roll please......
Take a look at her! Isn't she the cutest thing?! Weighing in at a whopping 2 lbs, it's Shea (pronounced Shay). She is an 8 week old black Brussels Griffon. She was born in Bethpage, Tennessee (about an hour north of Nashville) on November 17th, and we got her on Thursday.
She and Murphy made fast friends and they are adjusting well to one another. We are crating them together at night, which has made her transition much easier. Murphy is doing a good job of teaching her how to go to the bathroom outside - she's definitely getting better and she will have it down pat in a couple of weeks.
Erin absolutely adores her. We are working on "nice touches" and setting her down gently - thankfully Shea is hearty and takes her bumps and bruises like a champ.
So this is our new addition. Can't wait for you all to meet her.

Dining Room - Before & After
We finally painted the dining room. What I thought was going to take 2 days ended up taking 5! Whoever thought it was a good idea to paint a room RED was sorely mistaken. Holy cow!!!!! Three coats of primer and 2 coats of paint later we are done. I cannot believe what a difference a change of color makes - not only does the room look brighter but it also looks bigger. We are still using it as a play room for Erin, but either way I am very happy with the results. Phillip told me he is done painting for a VERY long time. lol I am sure I can talk him into another project in a few months!

New Family Photos
Just picked up our new family photos. The photo session was interesting because it was the first nice day in quite a while and Erin just did not want to sit still - you know how 2 year olds can be. Plus there were a lot of people at the park and limitless things for her to explore. All in all the day was fairly productive and we got some great shots of her. We are going to wait a few months and try to get some photos on the beach. Here is a preview:
